Where lower grades carry the earthy, barnyard character typical of Indonesian oud, AAA Kalimantan transcends. The opening is ethereal — almost floral, with a luminous sweetness that evolves over hours on the skin. Beneath it, a deep resinous base anchors the scent with the unmistakable signature of old-growth agarwood.

Why AAA Grade

Oud oil grading reflects resin density, wood age, and distillation precision. Grade AAA requires Aquilaria trees with exceptionally high resin content — typically trees that have been infected for decades, allowing the heartwood to develop complex aromatic compounds that lesser grades simply cannot produce.

Kalimantan Aquilaria stocks are declining rapidly. As reported by industry analysts, AAA-grade Indonesian oud prices have increased year over year as old-growth forests yield fewer harvestable trees. Each bottle of this oil represents a disappearing terroir.
